The Cuttack Bar Association

Cuttack Bar Association, the oldest Bar Association of the State of Odisha was established in the year 1859. It was born during British Days when India   was under British Rule. It was led by many legal luminaries and leaders of the State like Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Dash, Rai Bahadur Sri Gopal Chandra Praharaj, Sri Janakinath Bose (Father of Netaji Subash Ch. Bose), Karmabira Gourishankar Ray, First Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Justice Bira Kishore Ray and played an important role in the formation of Odisha as a linguistic State under the leadership of our former President Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das.
